Bioinspired bead-on-string silkworm silk (BBS) is fabricated by using polymer over silkworm silk. Thus BBS modulates effectively the capillary adhesion for water-capturing ability
in addition to mechanical property, instead of initial 10 silkworm silk. The study is significant to design the functional materials for alternative applications.
