  譚啟教授獲得中國(guó)科學(xué)院和美國(guó)伊利諾伊大學(xué)博士學(xué)位；曾任美國(guó)通用電氣全球研發(fā)中心首席電容器科學(xué)家，具有美國(guó)大學(xué)和大企業(yè)25年的工作經(jīng)歷，主持過(guò)40多項(xiàng)材料前沿和應(yīng)用研究項(xiàng)目，獲得中國(guó)科學(xué)院自然科學(xué)獎(jiǎng)一等獎(jiǎng)等獎(jiǎng)勵(lì)，現(xiàn)為材料科學(xué)與工程系副主任。正帶領(lǐng)有國(guó)際視野的年輕學(xué)者團(tuán)隊(duì)開展政府重大項(xiàng)目和校企合作項(xiàng)目研究，共享高精尖實(shí)驗(yàn)設(shè)備（薄膜制備中心、納米制備中心、電鏡中心等）。錄取的研究生將在中國(guó)汕頭和以色列海法校園開展學(xué)習(xí)和研究，并獲得以色列理工學(xué)院頒發(fā)的學(xué)位。

  Prof. Tan has worked in the US for 25 years and managed multiple research projects. As the deputy head of MSE, he is leading multiple young creative scientists and professors with international vision to work on government and industrial projects. The Tan group owns world-class research equipment and environment and practice the multi-disciplinary collaboration investigating energy storage materials, energy conversion technologies, dielectric polymer films and ceramic processing for capacitors and microwave communication. Admitted graduate students will carry out the study and research in GTIIT campus at Shantou, China and Technion at Haifa, Israel, and will be conferred with Technion certificates.
