Laminatedfabricwasanewtypeoftextilewithlotsofperfectpropertiesinvariousapplicationssuchasinclothing,hygieneandmedicalfield,whichwasmadebylaminatingnormalfabricsandmicro-porousmembranetogether.Pooradhesionbetweenthefabricandmembranewasawidespreadquestionforlaminatedfabric.InordertolaminatePTFEfilmswithcottonfabric,atreatmentonthesurfaceofPTFEfilmwhichcanimproveitswettabilityisamust.Inthispaper,coronatreatmentwasusedtoimprovethewettabilityofPTFEfilm.Themoisturepermeability,hydrostaticpressureandpeelstrengthofcottonfabricslaminatedwithmodifiedPTFEfilmswerestudiedandcomparedwiththoseofcottonfabriclaminatedwithcontrolPTFEfilms.ThecrosssectionswereinvestigatedbySEMinordertostudytheiradhesiveability.Theresultsshowedthatcoronatreatmentwasaneffectivemethodtoimprovetheinterfacialstrengthofcottonfabric/PTFElaminates.
