Theaimofthispaperistoinvestigatetheinfluenceofnanoorganicmontmorillonite(o-MMT)onthemorphologyof70(95/5)/30PE-g-MAH/PB-g-MAH/PA6blendswhichwasprovedtoholdaco-continuousmorphologywithmediatestabilityinourpreviousworkcl].Differentloadingsofo-MMTwerefirstmixedwithPA6inaninternalmixerandthenthemasterbatchwasfurtherblendedwithPE.AndthenanocompositeswerecomprehensivelycharacterizedbySEM,XRD,TEM,solventextractionexperimentsandtheologytests.SEMimagesofformicacidetchedcryo-fracturedsurfaceofaseriesofsampleswithdifferento-MMTcontentscombinedwithweightlossofsolventextractionexperimentsconfirmedthattheco-continuousmorphologyoftheternaryPE/PA6blendswasnearlynotdisturbedbyo-MMTinallsamples.Andincredibly,thestabilityoftheco-continuousmorphologyoftheseblendswassubstantiallyimprovedtobeperfectlypreservedevenafterannealingfor2hoursabovethemeltingpointofPA6inthepresenceofo-MMT.XRDandTEMresultsdemonstratedo-MMTparticleswereexclusivelyintercalatedorexfoliatedinPA6minorphase.IntermsoftheologytestitwasunambiguouslyshowedthatcomplexviscosityofPA6/o-MMTblendswereratherlowerthanpristinePA6wheno-MMTcontentwassmallbutgraduallyrosetooriginallevelandultimatelyjumpedtohighervaluewithfurtherincreasingo-MMTcontent.Incontrast,thezeroshearviscosityofPA6/o-MMTdomainmonotonicallyjumpeduptoseveralordersinmagnitudewithincreasingo-MMTcontentwhichwasresponsibleforenhancedco-continuousstabilityofPE/PA6blendsthatthepolyamide6chainswereremarkablyprohibitedinstaticannealingbyo-MMTparticles.
