Molecularcompositeandin-situcompositematerialshaveadistinctadvantageincomparisonwiththetraditionalmacro-fiber(suchasglassfiber,carbonfiber,boronfiber,etc.)reinforcedmaterials.Thisisattributedtothefactthattheircompositeinterfaceisinthemolecularlevel,improvingsignificantlytheinterfacecompatibilityofphaseandmatrixandthemechanicalpropertiesofmaterialscl-4].Inthiswork,weintroducednano-fibrousaggregatedbygelatorl,3:2,4-dibenzylidenesorbitol(DBS)intoconventionalpre-polymerresin(e.g.modifiedpolyurethaneoligomers).Withtheprincipleofmolecularcompound,wemadepre-polymerresingelationfirst,thenpreparedmolecularcompositepolymerbyphotopolymerizationtoachievereinforcedpolymer.TheresultsshowedthatDBShadgoodgelpropertiesinoligomersresin,aggregatedsupramolecularnano-fibrousbyself-assembly.Bymeasuringthestress-straincurvesofmoleculecompositematerials,withdifferentconcentrationofDBSaggregatesinmodifiedpolyurethane.ItwasfoundthatstrengthandtoughnessofmoleculecompositematerialscanbeimprovedinthepresenceofDBSaggregating.ThestrengthofDBSaggregatereinforcedpolyurethanecompositefilmscouldbeincreasedtoabout10%.
